My son and I love this dojo! We have been members for about a year and we have gained so much from participating. My son has gotten stronger, more disciplined, and more mature. I have lost some weight, gained energy, found muscles I never knew I had, and have been having a blast! As a middle-aged teacher, it is wonderful to try something that is hard for me and to watch excellent teachers in another discipline in action.
Dr. Lockhart and his staff are incredibly accomplished. More important to me is the fact that they know how to be inclusive to all ages and abilities and that the dojo is very family-oriented. This dojo is filled with upstanding, family-oriented, caring men and women on staff and in class. The dojo gives us motivation and a sense of belonging. I know my son is well cared for there and that the lessons we are learning there will stay with us for a lifetime.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I currently hold multiple ranking such as: 10th Degree/Hanshi, Founder of Hei Joshin Tamashii Do/Lo Jutsu Ryu (Sanctioned By The Universal Martial Arts Hall Of Fame Supreme Sokeship Council); 9th Degree in World Black Belt Living Legends ( By Grand Master Bob Wall - Founder); 8th Degree Grand Master in Moohapsool Hapkido (By Grand Master Jim McMurray); 8th Degree through the World Martial Arts Ranking Association (By Grand Master J. Pat Burleson - Founder); 5th Degree though the Texas Tae Kwon Do Association (By Grand Master Abel Villarreal - Founder). I developed my love for the Art in Japan in 1965. Upon my return to the United States, I studied under Grand Master Attlee Chittum "Father of Texas Karate", who sponsored Grand Master Jhoon Rhee into the United States and became one of his first five Black Belts in America. In addition, I also studied under Demetries Havannas, a Texas Karate Legend.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am told by many parents and students that we have improved countless children's lives by teaching them self-discipline and focus through Personal Development and Martial Arts. We teach children that they can grow up to be a Leader in their community and have self-confidence as well as a respectful attitude.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location right now. Planning on opening several more around San Antonio.
